Start a Study Group
Effective citizen leaders must be equipped with knowledge and
facts in order to be independent thinkers, ready for positions
of leadership in their families, churches, and communities. An
Eagle Forum Study Group will give you the tools for action. It’s
time for you to take the Eagle Challenge!
Need for Study Groups
A well informed citizenry is essential to the maintenance of a
constitutional republic. It is our duty to remain vigilant and
informed about the influences that diminish the liberties
Americans now enjoy. Eagle Forum Study Groups prepare you to
fight this battle effectively.
A Proven Route to Success
The conservative movement emerged in the late 1950s and 1960s on
the back of thousands of local study groups—small groups of
concerned Americans who met together, read and discussed
congressional reports and important books about Communism. Armed
with knowledge and facts, these dedicated American citizens
became a powerful force of activists who were able to determine
public policies and elect candidates. First, they became the
majority of Republicans with the nomination of Barry Goldwater
in 1964, and then they became mainstream America with the
election of Ronald Reagan as President in 1980. Now, local study
groups are needed to meet new challenges.
How to Start a Study Group
Recruit in your local community! Contact concerned neighbors,
church members, conservative groups, and other Eagle Forum
members. Form a group of 10 to 20 people who commit to monthly
meetings. Arrange a regular time to meet and you are ready to
start!
